Electrical Apprentice

BRISBANE | FULL TIME

Arcmech is a dynamic Mechanical Electrical company working across all areas in the commercial HVAC sector including in house switchboard manufacture. Focusing on employee and customer satisfaction, we aim to develop a highly skilled team to deliver a superior product and work environment.

We are now seeking a first- or second-year Electrical Apprentice to contribute to the project delivery team whilst gaining experience to fulfill the requirements for you to become a trade-qualified electrician in the mechanical electrical industry.

About You

You will have an eagerness to learn and contribute to a team of highly skilled tradesmen.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Learn from various supervising electricians and complete all assigned duties.
  • Identify, analyse, troubleshoot, and assist with repairs of equipment and electrical faults.
  • Travel to various project sites as part of the trade team.
  • Interpret drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Update work logs and handle other administrative duties.
  • Order project specific material and arrange equipment as needed.
  • Complete electrical installations and carry out various maintenance duties.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members and other external project trades as relevant.
  • Work according to our safety, quality and environmental initiatives ensuring operational activities are conducted in compliance with WHS, QA & Environmental legislation and the company’s Code of conduct and Group Policies.

To be successful in this role you should be highly motivated with the following:

  • Some practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Ability to handle feedback and criticism appropriately.
  • Good time management skills
  • Good customer service skills.

Mechanical Electrical & Controls Technician

BRISBANE | FULL TIME

Arcmech is a new dynamic Mechanical Electrical company working across all areas in the commercial HVAC sector including in house switchboard manufacture. Focusing on employee and customer satisfaction, we aim to develop a highly skilled team to deliver a superior product and work environment.

We are now seeking trade qualified and experienced Mechanical Electricians to join the team and help increase our ability to deliver, high quality, Commercial Mechanical Electrical projects. 

About You

You will have proven ability of providing exceptional customer service, delivering projects on time and on budget, whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Working to deliver projects ensuring delivery is on-time, within scope and on-budget
  • Provide leadership and training to apprentices and other team members alike.
  • Work according to our safety, quality and environmental initiatives ensuring operational activities are conducted in compliance with WHS, QA & Environmental legislation and the company’s Code of conduct and Group Policies.

To be successful in this role you should be highly motivated with the following:

  • Proven experience working on commercial mechanical electrical projects such as commercial refurbishments, fit outs, education and/or healthcare.
  • Experience in working as part of a team to who can work together to deliver successful outcomes, whilst creating a positive work environment. Also, the ability to work autonomously as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, site staff and key stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge and technical experience with various ‘brands’ of HVAC Controls & BMS systems. 
  • Ability to read, amend and interpret electrical & controls schematics
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as required
  • Current CPR/LVR certification
  • Current Construction Industry White Card/Blue Card
  • Current QLD Electrical Workers Licence
  • Experience with DX, Condenser Water, Chilled water & HVAC ventilation systems would be highly desired.
